Inspired by the spirit of St. Francis and under the pastoral leadership of Sacred Heart/St. Joseph Parish, this mission is an outward expression of our Catholic beliefs.
Volunteers make hundreds of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches daily. The rest of the menu varies day by day as God provides. Local grocery stores and restaurants donate liberally to help provide filling and nutritious food.
Sophia's Kitchen is in need of adult volunteers to wash dishes. Help is needed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, for a once weekly, 4 hour shift. It's great to do with a friend, so apply together!

You can help this mission with an outward expression of our Catholic beliefs. Let’s brighten someone's day! Color a paper Easter Egg and attach an uplifting message. Return it to Sophia’s Kitchen with your donation, and we’ll enclose these notes of encouragement in the lunch sacks Easter week.
Your donation will fund daily meals, a monthly food pantry, a pet food pantry and more. Let’s show our neighbors that we care, not just with food, but with love. Use your favorite Bible verse, write a poem or just say “I care!” Be creative!
