506 E. Hancock St., Peoria, IL 61603
Due to the Covid 19 virus there are currently no Masses here that are open to the public.
The Missionaries of Charity Welcome the public to join them for holy Mass in their chapel. The chapel is located behind the Cathedral and you may enter through the front door.
Long before she received the Nobel Peace prize and won the hearts of the world, Mother Teresa of Calcutta had a personal connection to Central Illinois. The women of the diocese of Peoria pulled their dimes together and bought Mother one of her first trucks to serve in the slums of Calcutta. In 1991, Mother Teresa established a convent of her Missionaries of Charity on the cathedral campus. Over the years the sisters have ministered in many ways to the poorest of the poor in our community. Today they coordinate the Cathedral CCD program and other ministries to our families. All are welcomed to join the sisters in their convent for 7am Mass Monday-Friday.
